Four seasoned private bankers have joined RBC Wealth Management’s Hong Kong office, marking a strategic push to capture the region’s growing demand for complex, multi-jurisdictional financial planning. The Canadian firm is positioning these veteran hires to bolster its advisory capabilities for high-net-worth clients navigating increasingly intricate wealth structures.

RBC Wealth Management Expands Hong Kong Leadership Team

Amanda Yeung joins as managing director and team head, bringing over 25 years of industry experience. Most recently, she served as deputy general manager and deputy head of private banking at China Construction Bank (Asia), following previous tenures at Credit Suisse, DBS, and HSBC. Her appointment signals a shift toward deepening institutional expertise within the firm’s regional leadership.

The firm also added three directors to its roster: Felix Yuan, Anthony Shiu, and Desmond Kwong. Yuan arrives from Standard Chartered Private Bank with over a decade of relationship management experience, while Shiu transitions from BNP Paribas with a two-decade background in ultra-high-net-worth advisory. Kwong, also a former senior vice president at BNP Paribas, rounds out the team with extensive experience in the Greater China market and previous roles at Julius Baer and HSBC. These hires consolidate RBC’s footprint as it seeks to manage the cross-border interests of its expanding client base.
