The visionOS 27 developer beta opens today, followed by a public release next month and a full rollout this fall. Apple confirmed that Siri AI will launch as a beta feature later this year, initially restricted to English-language support. Unlike the staggered rollout for mobile devices, this version will be available in the EU at launch without regulatory delays.
Beyond voice integration, the update introduces curved windows that mimic the ergonomics of desktop monitors, wrapping content around the user's field of view. Initial support for this feature extends to Safari, Freeform, and Multiview for Apple TV. Productivity and interface improvements include a redesigned Control Center split into three functional sections, faster Wi-Fi connectivity, and notification expansion triggered simply by eye-tracking. Users will also gain the ability to convert standard panoramic photos into fully immersive environments, while a new "extra-small" widget size offers increased home view customization.
