SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell recently pledged shares to 2 million of these accounts, while Dell founder Michael Dell committed $6.25 billion and Micron contributed $250 million to similar programs.

Beyond equity distribution, Musk has significantly ramped up his political spending ahead of the midterm elections. Financial disclosures indicate he donated $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund PAC in September, accounting for over half of the organization's third-quarter receipts. Additionally, Musk funneled $76 million into America PAC, the political action committee he established earlier this year.
