The new hardware arrives as part of a broader product refresh from parent company Signify. While the relay modules—offered in 1-channel, 2-channel, and dimmer configurations starting at €44.99—are currently restricted to the European market, they represent a significant shift for Hue users looking to modernize older installations without replacing hardware. CTO George Yianni noted that while US availability remains off the table for now, the company may reconsider should consumer demand for DIY-style in-wall modules grow.
Beyond the wall modules, the company introduced more budget-friendly alternatives to its premium Signe series. The new Play Table and Floor lamps, priced at $79.99 and $149.99 respectively, are engineered for entertainment syncing with music and video. Additionally, the updated E14 candle bulbs now feature Matter-over-Thread support, allowing them to communicate directly with platforms like Apple Home and Google Home without the need for a dedicated Hue Bridge. These bulbs also boast an improved white light spectrum and dimming capabilities down to 0.2%, targeting decorative fixtures such as chandeliers and sconces.
