Beyond standard bundles, the company is introducing Suites—a collection of services available exclusively as a single purchase rather than as standalone subscriptions. These updates were unveiled alongside broader changes to the App Store ecosystem, including stricter policies regarding the removal of neglected or “opportunistic” applications that fail to maintain user engagement or receive regular updates.
Additional shifts include the removal of the requirement for Mac App Store software to support older Intel-based hardware. Developers must now also explicitly disclose if their software includes social media functionality, a change intended to improve the accuracy of age ratings and Screen Time tracking. Apple expects to release further guidance on these subscription tiers as the fall launch of iOS 18 approaches.
