The new policy requires a monthly fee of $9.95 or an annual charge of $99.50 to enable automatic synchronization. While new customers receive a one-month trial period, the connection to external apps terminates once the trial expires. Data already transferred to third-party services remains intact, but incoming streams will cease until the user pays for the premium tier.
Existing account holders are exempt from these changes. According to official company statements, those who joined before the October 13, 2026, cutoff retain free access to third-party syncing indefinitely. This privilege is linked to the user account rather than the hardware, meaning legacy users can upgrade their smartwatches or scales without losing the ability to export their metrics to external ecosystems.
