The transition effectively dissolves the standalone F1 TV Premium service, which currently costs $16.99 monthly. Instead, coverage will roll into the $12.99 Apple TV subscription. According to CNBC, Apple is committing $140 million annually to secure these domestic rights. While the bulk of the content requires a subscription, the company confirmed that select races and all practice sessions will remain free within the Apple TV app.
Beyond live broadcasts, Apple plans to integrate the racing series across its broader ecosystem. Apple Sports will provide real-time leaderboards and lock-screen updates, while Apple News, Music, Maps, and Fitness+ will host dedicated F1 content. Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of Formula 1, noted that the collaboration builds upon a three-year creative relationship between the two organizations, previously centered on the production of their upcoming feature film.
